Inspiring Children Towards A Growth Mindset
In our international school, the Primary programme is divided into two key stages, notably Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2) and Key Stage 2 (Years 3 to 6). In our international primary school programme, students experience learning through play and project-based activities which covers a wide range of subject learning areas, as well as discrete learning lessons in English Language, Physical Education, Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, Mathematics and Science. At the end of Year 6, all students sit for the CIE Checkpoint examinations in English, Mathematics and Science. This is an internationally recognized examination which provides an opportunity to celebrate individual achievement and review learning areas for further development.

International Primary School — Cambridge Curriculum | Year 1-6
Sri Bestari International School’s Primary programme (Year 1 to Year 6) follows the Cambridge curriculum, giving students a structured, internationally-benchmarked foundation across English, Mathematics, Science, and a broad range of core and enrichment subjects. Learning is delivered through engaging, project-based activities that build strong academic fundamentals while nurturing curiosity and confidence. At the end of Year 6, students sit the CIE Checkpoint examinations in English, Mathematics and Science, marking a clear academic milestone before progressing into Secondary school.
German Language Immersion — Cambridge Modern Foreign Languages Framework (from Year 1)
Starting September 2026, Sri Bestari International School introduces a continuous German language immersion programme, taught from Year 1 under the Cambridge Modern Foreign Languages framework. Unlike a short-term language elective, this programme runs consistently through Primary and into Secondary, giving students sustained, structured exposure to German from an early age. It reflects the school’s international outlook and gives Primary students a genuine head start in a second language alongside their core Cambridge subjects.
Inspiring Children Towards A Growth Mindset

The underlying process that supports our children in picking themselves up once again after each setback is of pivotal importance in the process of learning and the much-needed tenacity to brave their journey in lives. As such, inspiring children to embrace a ‘growth mindset’ as opposed to a ‘fixed mindset’ will continue to be the core principle in the process of teaching and learning for both students and faculty members of our international primary school.
CO-CURRICULAR
In our primary school programme, students will be facilitated on their progress to continue trying new strategies and seek input from others when they face challenges – be it in the pursuit of intellectual, physical or emotional development. The impetus for ongoing improvement under LESB is fundamentally anchored by a group of passionate, qualified, committed and experienced teachers who embrace the same mindset that ‘When we stop learning, we stop teaching’.
